S:US is looking for a Program Director for one of our Family Shelters

About the Position

The Program Director at S:US will focus on enhancing the quality of life for the people supported at your respective program or shelter. You will need to be an empathetic and compassionate leader in order to successfully lead your program and staff in continuous improvements to the quality of the program as well as the quality of life provided to the individuals we support. As the Program Director, you will be responsible for ensuring your program meets all regulatory and quality standards and developing strategies that educate and develop your team. The primary goal of this position is to effectively lead your team to provide 24-hour support in meeting the changing needs of the individuals housed in your program. 

About the Homeless Services

S:US is working hard to help prevent homelessness by operating homeless individuals and families, for people living with HIV/AIDS, for individuals with mental health challenges, and for families experiencing domestic violence. We also connect homeless people to medical centers to ensure primary medical care and adherence to treatment. Our Homeless Services include homeless prevention, shelters, outreach services, and transition services. 

Salary: $80,000 / year

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Human Service field
  • Able to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 virus
  • 3 - 5 years of management experience at a large shelter or residential facility
  • Experience in NYC Department of Homeless Services contract requirements
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Ability to work some weekend and evening hours
